You know…(that’s how you always started your sentences with and I really loved it) it’s amazing how one can get to meet great people at random. Wise people come when you are not expecting them. I met an English man in a Turkish guy’s pub in Alicante, Spain. I have to tell you more about it soon. That English man seemed that he had gone through lots of things in his life. You could tell he was wise through experience, not through knowledge (as most people try to be wise).
He looked like he was beyond his 70s. He was 58. Vaughn, his name. When I meet old people, or people who look old, or experienced in life I always ask them this question: «What is your advice on life?»
I asked that man this question minutes before I leave.
After a moment of silence he said: «Live it.»
I was not sure if I wanted him to expand on it but seconds later he continued: «It’s all good until you perish». Smoked his cigarette and expanded: «It’s all difficult when you’re in bad health. Do anything you want to when you can. And when you can’t you will still have the memory of when you could».
